Hello! This is the other half of this deviant artist. I just wanted to say That I'm happy for all the more pageviews we've gotten since the last update of this jounal. Thank you for the pageviews! Maybe we'll put up some more artwork sometime soon.....
Anyway, I have drawn some new stuff so I will try and get it up here at sometime. I've got some Lord of the Rings, and some more Harry Potter. YAY!

Before I begin... CLOVERFIELD WAS AMAZING!!!!! I CAN'T TALK ABOUT IT!! YOU JUST HAVE TO SEE IT!!!!

I've been kinda busy so that's why I haven't updated my journal recently. but I just hit 2000 hits and normally I should be happy... but I never get my art looked at. I don't want to bitch but there are people out there who draw or take really bad pictures and have more views than me... It's kinda disappointing...

I'm not trying to toot my own horn, but I'm really trying my best and not getting stuff back. I totally almost erased my deviantart but my boyfriend talked me out of it. woot...

Happy New Year by the way!

  • Mood: Tired
  • Reading: The Wish List
  • Watching: Top Chef finale
  • Eating: nothing... I'm hungry
  • Drinking: Cheerwine (it's a really good soft drink)
If you haven't been able to tell, I've been on a bit of a theatre photography trip. I really want to show all the angles of the theatre and its process. I'm hoping to bring more to the table soon.

P.S.
Tonight was opening night for my show Taming of the Shrew (I play Biondello, the spaztastic 13 year old boy who gets hit a lot and run around stage). It went fairly well except one scene was butchered a bit. Thank goodness the audience never notices... Woot. I just hope it's better tomorrow night for my parents.

And probably some mild cursing...

As my friend Lucy put it, the title of this movie should have been Harry Potter and the Disorder of the Phoenix. I don't know what the director was thinking in taking the LONGEST of all of the books and making it the SHORTEST movie of the series!!

It was just soooo short. Nothing was explained. It had no fluid plot! It was almost 45 minutes shorter than any of the others. Just about anyone would have been happier to sit there another 45 minutes than to sit and watch the shit they threw up there on the screen. It would have been right at three hours and I would have been fine with that.

THE PENSIEVE SCENE WAS BY FAR THE WORST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE MOVIE!!! That scene was the one scene I was looking forward to more than any other and it was shorter than 30 seconds!!! LITERALLY!! I'M NOT MAKING THAT UP!!! You didn't see young Lupin or Lily (Who were both cast) and you barely saw Sirius in the background!! I watched so many behind the scene making thingys for that scene and others and there was more in those shots than there were in the actual movie!! WHAT THE HELL!! That one scene seriously ruined the movie for me. It was my favorite part of the book and if I had blinked, I probably wouldn't have seen it in the movie at all. It's only saving grace (as little as it was) was that young Snape was so adorable.

Though it wasn't that hard to ruin the movie being how horrible it was edited and the director's choices. For example, here is how the movie went:

We're at the Dursley's house
We're at the Order headquarters
We're at Hogwarts
Umbridge does bad things
DA does stuff
Fight in the Ministry
THE END

There were no transitions between anything AND it was like watching a giant slid show! Plus, Umbridge got more screen time than anyone including Harry. I read in the paper that she out acted anyone else in the movie. THAT'S BECAUSE THE ENTIRE MOVIE WAS ABOUT HER!! NOT HARRY! NOT THE ORDER! NOT THE DA!!

UMBRIDGE UMBRIDGE UMBRIDGE!!! No one else even got a chance to act!! It should have been titled "Dolores Umbridge and the Takeover of Hogwarts."

Another thing that upset me was Bellatrix. Once again, I watched several behind the scenes thingys with her in it and it showed more clips of her than that of when she was in the actual movie. Bellatrix was supposed to have a much bigger role AS WAS LUPIN!!!

WHERE WAS MY PRECIOUS REMUS LUPIN!?!?!?!?

Ginny and Ron said basically nothing the entire time and the Weasley twins said more than a good majority of the people in the movie.

WHAT THE frkfwaelkmsrd WAS GOING ON IN THIS FILM!?!?!?!?

And what was with them actually using the Avada Kedavra on Sirius!?!? Bellatrix didn't kill Sirius!!! She used a spell and pushed him through the veil!!

Filch got more screen time than Draco... what's up with that?

AJAHHAHFHAEFEAHHAAHHHHHHH!!!!

I'm so mad by this movie!!! This was the first movie I saw after I read the books and it was a huge disappointment!!!!

Though, now that I got all that out of my system, for the few good things in the film...

(1) the acting in all the kids were so much better this time around. There was only a few time Emma Watson made me cringe.

(2) I like the Weasley twins development in this film. When they were comforting the little second year after the poor kid had to write down lines in blood... AWW!! IT WAS SWEET!!!

(3) I though the thestrals were pretty cool in this movie. It was pretty good special effects all around.

(4) LUCIUS MALFOY CAN HAVE MY HEART ANY DAY!! My god he was great in this movie!!! Along with Snape. I just love Slytherins!!

(5) The end fight scene was pretty cool though I wish it was longer. It wasn't as big as everyone made it out to be.

(6) Luna Lovegood was totally spot on! And I love how much Neville played in the movie as well.

(7) I liked that they kept in the fight between Seamus and Harry. Seamus is one of my favorite characters and that one scene is when you see so much of his personality.

If I think of anymore later I'll add it but all in all, the movie was pretty forgettable and probably the worse of the bunch which is saying a lot since the third movie wasn't that great either.

Other than that, I'm almost 100% better and I'm ready to do something productive. Don't know what yet... just something...

I'm also downloading a movie called Hard Candy that looks really good. Go find the trailer on Youtube.
